This may sound like a stupid question, but is it possible to refine Tai Chi in incorporate training drills similar to JKD? The reason I ask such as question is because I began training in Tai Chi for a short period of time along with JKD and found the two to be completely different. I stopped doing Tai Chi because of time constraints, but I also found doing the forms a bit too much (I prefer punching and kicking things

In the same way that JKD has gone away from any classical forms, would it be possible to learn how to fight and defend yourself, without the Tai Chi forms?
