I am not a lawyer and laws do vary state to state, but if you find yourself in a confrontation and you kill the person, I believe that if you felt that your life was threatened/in danger, it MIGHT be justified if you killed your confronter.
Am I afraid of killing someone in a street confrontation?
NO.
Am I afraid of going to jail?
I believe everyone should be.
As they say, "better to be judged by twelve than carred by six."
