Anyway, sounds like you're a product of good o' Mcdojo's. However, in some ways I agree with you—TKD has some legitimate stretching and warm-up exercises. Also, as I've mentioned in another thread a few kicks are salvageable. In some gyms, TKD instructors teach boxing as well, so that's a relief.
However, I will tell you that most serious martial artists shy away from TKD. Many of them begin with TKD, because it is an easy art to learn, then move on to better things. How many times are we told that this champion has a 5th dan in TKD, then purple belt in BJJ, then MT and now does NHB or K-1—many times.
