Jump kicks are fun. They are a lot like wrist locks. They work well either at the beginning or at the end of a dispute.
If the average Joe attempts a jump kick wide open like that against another average joe with any kind of fighting experience Joe may just be in for a world of hurt.
I've sparred extensively with someone who's very athletic and adept at jumping/spinning kicks, especially to the head.
I've taken a shot, then I proceeded to put his ass into the wall, or the floor, or simply got inside his kicking range with his back to me and jacked him face first into the nearest obstacle.
Sure, you can pull off spinning and jumping maneuvers, if you hit you hit big, if you miss (and odds are against a clean hit) you're going to pay.
