I wouldn't try to back out and take him while he's landing. If you back out you're creating distance. The kick is about to end.( i have no idea if that's a round house, or a spin kick so i'll say it's a round house.) And you begin the take down by the time you get there, he'd have tim to prepare for it. Either run straight in or just hop to the side and then go for it.

And in answer to your statement acitic. I was not sure if it was an round house or a spin kick because it could've been both, so i took it as a round house. And if i were to side step first i could get you when the kick lost its power.
