Well about the maintaining the base I was referring to ground fighting and the fact they are not going to teh ground. and to take me down I can assure you would be difficult for any stylist, I can't comment on the average WC stylist.
I do agree that I have seen some WC incorporate BJJ and it is rediculus to me as it is contrary to the style. But my point is that WC schools do teach Chin Na. Look I only speak from my experience and I already answered your question before you asked about the 1-3 inch punch. The reponse was about power not combat application. But I have seen this demonstrated and it was not a push.
Bong Sau is not itself used as a strike, but bong sau extended is pek jeung which is used to strike.
