You're talking about all the Chinese secrets stuff right Jules? It's bullox. I'm Chinese and people still try that game with me. Stupid. Big lie is when Sifu says I show people 1 way but do it for real a different way. Tttttwwwwppp!
Most of the Chinese stuff taught today is only the shell. Why? Not because too deadly Sifu don't want to show it. Too deadly Sifu doesn't know it so he can't show. HA!!!
Just because a guy has slanted eyes and an accent doesn't mean he knows diddly squat about kung fu. Maybe a little from family but not a Sifu and no way a Master.
Still some good fighting in some places. Full contact with no rules. Some interesting things about these fights. They last only a few seconds. 1 guy gets the snot knocked out of him or thrown down and quits. Not like west boxing where they keep going and going. Sometimes people get hurt and once now and then a guy dies. Not often but sometimes. More like test of skill. Getting hit and hurt means the other guy is better. No sense keeping on as he won by those ways of looking at it.
