I have learned nothing by picking and choosing. The system had to be studied in whole, in order to learn the ''why-when-and how! I've tried many different styles and their blocking technique's, and no one set has any right over the others. In all my years in the mixed martial arts, blocks have been geared towards thai fighting ''U.F.C.'', since people have this notion that they only need to strike with the strongest tool in their arsenal. But on the other hand when i was learning the systems approach to fighting, those set blocks work in those set style, and may have been able to be used as a defense against another style of strikes. I need a training regimen to tie in blocks from- boxing to wing chun, shotokan karate to muay thai, hapkido to savate, kenpo to pa qua =anything will do for now. (muay thai,aikido,judo,jujitsu,wrestling)- are my clench to ground fighting tactics, and i will say they do me justice. I always suggest people study at least two of them.
