![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yup, 4 weeks in a cast, 4 weeks light on it, about another 4 weeks before I was hitting full force again. Lost ten degrees on my dexterity of my finger as well. Let it heal and learn how to use open hand strikes when you are going to hit people in the head without gloves on.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes you can break your hands by hitting hard objects like the head with them. Proper technique can help but won't save you if you hit something really hard. Strikes using the palms are generally prefered in real fights because there is less chance of breaking your hand. Also choosing the correct targets can help quite a bit. If you really want to mess up your hand punch someone in the teeth and then don't worry about cleaning all the cuts.

![]() | well based on my experience in streetfights ....[and believe my i have experience, where i come from we have fights everyday and sometimes using weapons like swords and knives] any way..... i think that using a closed fist or open depends on how angry u are , i mean if u wanna kil the guy use a closed fist and hit him in every inch of his face, if it is just an ordinary fight u could just keep slappin him with an open fist, where he will end all red in the face |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | if I hit someone with an open hand in the face I could break his jaw. He'd be a little worse off then having a red face. If I were trying to kill him I'd be punching his throat not hitting his face. If you hit close fisted to the head with any real power you are going to break your hand.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | start right away. stretch it all the time, bend it back, make a first bend it back. squeeze things. Mine hand hurt too for a couple weeks but I got my flexibility back fast and the strength returned within a month or so.

![]() | my fiance just fractured his finger in a street fight, and just got the cast put on yesterday, he is in extreme constant pain and i dont think the doctor gave him anything for it. Does ice or heat help it? Is there anything that you found helped the pain? And does the pain get better soon? thank you.. |

So let me get this straight you have sword fights in your area? I find this very hard to believe.... Sword fights.... Your an idiot. When using an open handed strike, you generally use the heel of your palm. Its a pretty hard part of your hand and could do almost as much damage as a full fisted punch. Stop talking out of your ass. Excessive, When you say punching to the head with a closed fist do you mean top of the head? Or jaw, nose and everywhere else? I think a jaw or nose would break before my hand.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Jaw isn't a bad place to hit as long as you hit it and not anything else like the mouth. teeth are very bad to hit. Nose isn't too bad either but if they duck and you hit the forehead you are going to wish you had been using an open hand. Punching the head can be done, but it's safer to use an open hand.

i sure hope next time I get into a fight the other guy takes your advice and tries to open hand me, so i can laugh then knock him out with a closed hand. One other thing in response to someones comment about hitting someone in the teeth. I did that once. Left a nasty, long scar on my hand. The other guy lost some teeth though. and it is still my favorite scar. make sure you clean your wounds with soap and water though so you dont lose your hand due to some infection from being in someone elses mouth.
