I haven't boxed in ages, so I decided to take a friend's offer to spar. These days, I employ boxing, but as part of my MMA training. Anyway, I noticed that the way I throw my jab is different from my friends.
I was taught to push off my rear foot, while stepping forward with my lead foot. The shoulder turns to meet jaw and you throw the jab straight out. My friend drops his weight forward and drags his rear foot, simultaneously throwing the jab. Maybe it's the same technique taught differently? How about you guys? |
