Default Pain in fists

I've been working a Pro-wave bag sitting in a donut like base.

Everyonce in a while, when I land a really hard shot my glove sinks about 8-10 inches into the bag and hits something solid; feels like a thin tree trunk

I've been getting an ache in my fists on the day after hitting. Anyone else experience this? Should I progress to a bigger bag?

Try a different wrap under you bag gloves. eg. if you are using one, wrap, try two. And also, what type of bag glove are you using? Maybe you need an upgrade.

man...I absolutely HATE prowave bags. I think that you're right, the padding ends a few inches in and if your padding isn't solid enough your fists end up hitting that hard plastic crap deep in. What did you fill the bag with, sand or water?

I've used swinging canvas bags (I own two), bannana bags (sand filled...dings pretty bad if your kicking the bottoms for awhile until you work it in alittle.) Wavemasters suck...my favorite right now is the pole bag style...only you need to PACK that thing with sand, and basicly concrete it into the floor... of all the bags and training implements I've used, I'd say it comes in a close second to Thai Pads.

I stick with the regular bags myself. Hate the wavemasters.

I dont know if it's possible with wavemasters, but with regular bags you can get a Gell-pad that fits over the bag. This works great when your old
heavy-bags are falling apart.
Title boxing sells one.

Default Thanks Mike!

The pain is gone!

I can't change bags (stuck with the dang pro-wave). However I wrapped more layers over my knuckles and around the wrist. Also upgraded to 16 oz gloves from 14oz.
