Wisdom from the ages... interesting, no? It's not surprising to see similarities to this in JKD, Kuntao, kempo, karatedo, judo...

the influence of it can be seen in "old school" boxing as recently as early 20th century.

2. Throws, grappling

Yup, the fighting "styles" are really not all that different
