![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A few noteworthy names that I thought stuck out: Khaosai-Galaxy (Thailand) - Given the nickname "Thailand" Tyson because of his punching power. Galaxy fought as a bantam weight, with an agressive style and 16 defenses of the bantam weight championship (IBF). Manny Pacquiao (Fillipines) - Don't need to say much as Manny is making front pages frequently. Lakva Sim (Mongolia) - Recently lost the WBA lightweight to Juan Diaz. Sim has a lot of KOs under him. Saw him fight Diaz for the title and he demonstrated an iron chin, taking some of Diaz's best shots and rocking Diaz back. The two exchanged dominance from round to round. Chinese Boxing team won their first olympic boxing medal in 04. Is this a function of better coaching or talent or both? |
