    Hey Southpaw,

Is the 46-8 an amateur or professional record?

As I think you've said before, the hard way is the only way.

47-6-0 amateur record. (western boxing). Not counting smokers and non-sanctioned matches in boxing and kickboxing. Probably closer to 150 fights, if you counted them all.
The hard way IS the only way...there are no shortcuts to the top.

Agreed. Life cycles through pain and beauty, pain and beauty...from a child's first step to walking upright; from learning how talk to getting the nerve to ask out his first date. I'd like to use your statement in my signature.

Mike, interesting experience with your karateka friend. It just validates my position. As I stated in the article, I am not trying to discredit or disrespect any martial arts, just making a sincere effort to place boxing in its rightful place as a legitimate fighting system.
You are right on about drilling the basics and never neglecting conditioning, it should be a lesson that ALL martial artists learn and follow.

Tom Yum: Thanks for the compliment...use my statement if you like.

    Keep it real bros!
