Default TYSON V McBRIDE ? ? ?

i just saw the advertisement for this match. this mcbride guy is 6'6, way bigger than tyson, and much younger. tyson is only 5'11 wtf ? is this a mismatch? is there any hope for tyson? i really want him to bust out and be on top again, but the odds are so against him i think he's done for. its like he is gonna be fighting drago or some shit. i cant wait to see what happens. tyson needs a miracle or no?

Tyson maybe "washed up". He has found that there is many talented and harder hitters than he. This is a publicity match in order for him to get some money. Win or loose, he will get paid. Tyson is a wondering lost soul whom cant seem to get a handle on his life. IMHO, his boxing carreer is over.

It's a long shot, but Tyson may have a good chance of winning. Tyson always fought taller opponents then him plus it's boxing anything can happen in the ring. Also he's hungry again so he wants to win no matter what to pay off his debts.

It is a long shot-true.
Anything can happen-yeah like biting a ear when losing is inevitable.

A lucky-close decision win is Tyson needs. I dont think it is going to be a KO.

Sounds like McBride is terrified of getting in the ring. Also, by comparison, did anyone see Riddick Bowe's latest "comeback" fight? He was facing a journeyman - a dependable opponent, and he eeked out a decision in ten rounds that I personally didn't think he won. 38 is a tough age for any boxer to be Championship competitive, and it makes it especially tough when you're an emotionally imbalanced, neurotic, tempermental sociopath like Mike Tyson. When you add it all up, Tyson = Intimidation power far more than any residual ability. He could have been the greatest had he stayed on the course Cus D'Amato put him on early in his career, but now, I think he's a washed-up has been that never will be again. I still figure on him winning against McBride, but so what? Who the hell is McBride?
My thoughts also.

Tyson could still have it in him.

I'd give him this next fight on Saturday night.

If its like Tyson vs. Spinx, then I'd say he's back.

If Tyson wins by decision, I'll agree.

But is McBride a real contender?

No.

But sadly, neither was Danny Williams. The odds are probably against a Tyson win, but there's allways that chance.

Just like the Koaklai Kanneorsing vs. Might Mo match.

Of course, for Tyson to make a comeback, he gets a "easy" contender.
Promoters are itching to still capitalize on Tyson's name.

Consider this:
Tyson is being paid $5 million for this fight win or lose.
McBride is only making $150,000.

This is because of name.

Think of this-McBride isnt a top contender, if he was, his purse would be a lot more

If Tyson can't manage that against such an obvious set-up, then he needs to hang up the gloves and pursue his inevitable pro wrestling or gangster rap career.

I'm so excited about this fight, I'm going camping, way out in the woods, to avoid even hearing about it. Let's all face it: Tyson threw away a dump truck load of talent and potential, ended up $40 million in the hole, and went to jail during what would have been his prime simply because he has NO self-control. No way I'm paying good money to watch that.
Thank god, I'm not the only one that thinks this will be a Tyson win... McBride is one of the slowest fighters I've seen and this whole thing was throw together to start up the Tyson propaganda machine... You'll hear "He's back" and "Look out ______, he's coming for you" to pump up the intimidation factor and try and regain what he's lost.

I'm not going to watch the Tyson fight, I'd rather see Cotto and Abdulaev, now that should at least be interesting.
