![]() | I didn't watch the fight but I was curious if McBride was doing anything to win the fight. One ESPN.com, they said that Tyson was actually ahead 57-55(?) by 2 of the judges. I know this has been debated before, but I wonder if Tyson was just ahead of his time when he dominated boxing. He just seemed so much stronger and faster back then compared to the rest of the competition. |

He's a lumbering giant, he's slow, likes to clinch, put all his 270-odd lbs on the other guy and deliver hooks and uppercuts from there. Regardless, Mike Tyson was not into it at all, he got pushed over by mcbride (NOT a knockdown), and couldn't get up!! he was looking at the ref to help him!! Mike Tyson however, was mellow to the nth degree, even in the pre-fight interviews, this guy was SUBDUED like you wouldn't believe, he was POLITE for chrisssake. His voice was subdued to the point of a whisper. I got the impression right then that it wasn't gonna be a good day for him.

![]() | I will never forget how Tyson destroyed his opponents prior The Buster Douglas Fight World Boxing Champion at 20 years of age Youngest Man ever crowned Heavyweight Champion of The World. I truly believe once Tyson went to jail & then his problems with his ex Wife & The Antidepressants he took its no wonder he lost to bums like Douglas Lennox Holyfield Williams & now Mc Bride. It really is a sad ending to a great Boxing Legend. When he was at his best everybody loved him but soon as trouble hit the fan everybody hates him. Thats typical with the pathetic society we live in. I wish Mike Tyson all the best & should he return to boxing I pray he stops the antidepressants as they affect his health balance & cordination as well as calm his explosiveness. For Tyson to win again he would have to fight with that brutal rage he once possesed. Iam enclosing two links on Mike Tyson: The Antidepressants Link first: http://baseball.espn.go.com/boxing/n...15/586545.html Mike Tysons Media Biography: http://www.boxinginsider.com/news/stories/120256659.php As far as Iam concerned I will always remember Tyson as the best fighter ever. Ali would have lost against Mike Tyson. Phillip. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Phillip, I agree with you. Tyson was a real fighter; he had even more promise. I think most of us remember the good old days of Tyson being focused and ready to fight. If you look at the timeline, when Robin Givens divorced him and Cus died (1990-ish), he lost his fighting spirit. The old Tyson came back; the one that got him in trouble as a street kid, because without that guidance (Cus) that's all he knew. Tyson is a shadow of the fighter he once was and its a terrible shame. It will be difficult if not impossible for him to get back into the ring. However, he can still make guest appearances and be a role model for troubled youth. He can talk to youngsters, esp. young boxers about getting control of your life. I share your sentiment, because in the mid to late 80's Tyson was larger than life. Now its just sad. |

![]() | Yes you may have hated Tyson thats fine but your veiws are pathetic. As stated before when Tyson was at his best everybody Loved him when he messed up then everybody hates him. Tyson could have beated any boxer even today had he not taken anti depressants & lost his focus & cordination. Even Lewis Holyfield Douglas Bride or any World Heavyweight Champion could not have lasted with the Tyson of the 80s. The man was a machine with one focus to win at any cost. sadly after Douglas it all went downhill. And now we have morons insulting the once a great fighter Mike Tyson. Love to see these folk who insult Tyson to try and achieve what Tyson once achieved. Now that I would like to see LOL. Phillip. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Moron? Only an idiot would call the PRO FIGHTERS that beat Tyson "Bums"... Moron is the highest classification of mental deficiency. I'd say you need to pull your head out of your butt and get some fresh oxygen flowing to that tiny little brain of yours. Then we'll talk about promoting you to MORON. All in good fun.
