Good God, you should have seen it. Gatti fought well, but Mayweather was like a freakin' machine. For every punch Gatti landed Mayweather seemed to counter with three or four, blindingly fast.

All man I thought Mayweather wouldnt be able to handle Gatti punching power. Did Mayweather struggled against Gatti or was he just pulling punches?

Gatti was hitting with power, he just couldn't land enough of them. It seemed like every time he'd throw one Mayweather just came back with three of his own. He said after the fight he didn't expect Maywether to be so fast, and it showed. I was hoping Gatti would win, but man, Mayweather looked good.

The Maussa-Harris undercard just before was an amazing fight, too. Maussa had the weirdest style I'd ever seen in a professional fight. He stepped back and dropped his hands repeatedly to taunt and gloat, threw completely wild punches from stances so strange he was virtually standing on one foot for some of them, slipped and weaved so effectively I could have sworn that he was psychic (all the while with his guard completely down and hands down at his sides), and at one point jumped in from four feet away to make a completely undisguised and unprovoked head butt, for which he received a warning. When he knocked Harris out, he jumped on him and punched him again in the head while he was flat on his back on the canvas. The guy was a total lunatic, and now I've got to see his next fight just to know what he'll do next.

Britt's description of the Maussa-Harris fight is pretty much dead-on. In my opinion, it was the most entertaining fight on that card. Maussa's style seemed to be begging to get knocked out with a hard straight punch right into the face. He kept his hands down (or when raised, to the side of his head?!?) most of the time. He took several straight punches, especially at the beginning of the fight, but nothing seemed to genuinely hurt him much. I too would like to see Maussa's next fight. Which is somewhat ironic, because this is exactly the kind of performance that Harris was trying to create himself.

I was pulling for Gatti too, but Mayweather was way too fast and accurate. Made Gatti look like he was moving in slow motion. Gatti's face after the fight was a good testament to this.
