...sparring and doing pad work. Pacquiao makes boxing look like a martial art. He's able to open his sparring partners up downstairs and upstairs and puts together nice combinations. Looks like he's going about 70-80% with his sparring partners? Still I bet those punches pack power.

Good clips. My biggest gripe right now about PacMan is his footwork. He is a good puncher, and he's developing the tools he's lacked in the past. His offense is good, and he's becoming a little more cognizant of his defensive tools (he's still notoruious for keeping his hands too low for his own good, and for falling apart on the defensive while he's immersed in offense), but he makes up for a lot of that by being tireless and active. He puts a lot of pressure on opponents, and he hits hard, so some of his bigger mistakes (like loose footwork) go unexploited. Still, I'd love to see him control the ring more with his feet, show guys some more angles in terms of setting up his power (right now, he relies a lot on the other guy's footwork and habits instead of controlling it himself). Add tighter, more purposeful footwork to his game, and Manny is twice the fighter automatically.

Here's a video of an entire training session (first 2:00 are warmup, but still give good excercises) total time is 25:00 so get a cup of coffee, sit back and watch.

That was some good bag work. He has some quick hands. You can hear the pop on the bag too.
