LOS ANGELES, September 7 – Due to an injury suffered in training camp by WBC Super Featherweight World Champion Juan Manuel Marquez, the September 15 "Fireworks" Pay-Per-View show promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and scheduled for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas has been cancelled.

Rocky Juarez substained a deep cut above his eye in the first round. He spent the whole fight wiping blood. Over all it was a good fight but would have been better if not for the headbutt. No knockdowns, just a scientific and tactiful chessmatch.

Aside from the cut, Rocky just had slower hands from the git go. He was a trooper, though--really stuck it out through the end even with that cut.
