Vasquez vs Marquez 3

Vasquez vs Marquez is turning out to be a trilogy of Hagler vs Hearns fights. These guys go to war! Showtime replayed the second fight last night, and it was the first time I'd gotten to see it. It was a setup for the rubber match tonight. In the first fight, Vasquez was unable to continue due to a broken face. His nose was wrecked. In the second fight, Vasquez was cut deeply over both eyes and ready to get stopped on cuts (in my opinion) when he rocked Marquez to win by TKO. These guys are all-go, no-quit fighters, and the third match looks like it might be the most exciting fight of the whole year. it was a five-and-a-half round highlight reel. Here's a montage of some of the action, but really, this was the pace and likeness of the whole fight.

I for one am really looking forward to this rubber match tonight, and I am picking Vasquez due to what I consider superior conditioning - but only by a hair. I would not place a bet. This one's too close to call.
