Default Pacquiao vs Marquez

anyone else see that fight? Interested to read what everyone else thinks.

I feel that Marquez landed a lot of good, solid hits but that Pacquiao kept a cooler head and protected himself far better. His professionalism and stamina made the difference against a bigger, stronger opponent.

I thought that Pacquiao landed significantly harder shots and hurt Marquez more, even though Marquez was a bit more active and accurate and was able to control the ring somewhat more effectively. I agreed with the judge who scored it 114-113 for Pacquiao -- I gave each fighter six rounds, with the knockdown giving Pacquaio the victory.

In any case, I thought it was a great fight. I'm already looking forward to the rematch.

I'm a huge Pacquiao fan but I was actually really disappointed in him. He actually looked like the same fighter in their first fight: one dimensional. The first fight was such a great experience for Manny because it forced him to learn how to use both hands and punch in bunches. I didn't really see any of that Saturday night. I actually felt that Marquez won the fight.

On a side note, did I sense a rift between Roach and Manny? I thought that it was interesting that Roach was not in the ring coaching him just before the start of the 12th round. He also didn't really hang around him for the post-fight interview. My guess, he's pissed at him for not taking his advice during the fight.
