I saw on the schedule that Mousels has boxing, but it appear to only be one day a week. I was looking for somthing that had multiple sessions per week.
Thanks OOA |

Savannah Gym - Located on South Post Oak. Known for its kids programs, but trains adults too. They will teach you how to box and get you involved in competitions if that's your interest or teach you how to fight (for self-defense).
Main Street Gym - Hard to find, but shares building with a red bricked bail bonds office on the outskirts of downtown. Many a professional boxer has trained there. Jon Diaz (a pro-boxer and UH student) trains there. Its a Rocky style gym, but you it will grow on you. B.O.N.A. Fitness - On Westheimer 2 blocks westward from Beltway 8. The guys there are really cool and will work with your schedule. They will work you from the ground up and will give you hands on technical experience.

Thanks TOM! Do you have any personal experience at these gyms? I have been to others (out of state) that you basicaly pay your fee, use thier equipment to work out on, one or two trainers will be working the floor helping out.. but alot of its is real solitary.. and self teaching for the most part... I am really looking for guidence this time around.. I really want to do it for fun.. and woulnd't mine some novice bouts.. i really loved the sparring we did, but alot of trainers won't put in time with someone if they aren't 100% committed to fighting for thier school...
thanks. ooa |

Seeing that you allready have experience and know what you're looking for, I'd visit all three gyms to see for myself. Talk to the coaches and fighters and tell them what you're looking for. See if you can arrange for some one on one time with a trainer on a regular basis or if not a trainer, a fighter who helps out at the gym.
