![]() | Where I learned to box, we didn't practice left and right stance techniques. And I'm not aware of any gyms that do this either, but I could be wrong. But it's hard enough to learn to box from one stance, let alone trying to do both. However, if you can effectively box orthodox and unothodox, by all means — go for it! In TKD, I learned to switch stances frequently so I'm sort of accustomed to performing techniques from both positions. Myself, I normally train in an orthodox stance (left foot forward).
