![]() | 2. When i am hitting the bag i noticed that I hit the body much harder then when throw hooks/uppercuts to the head.. Does this make sense? No matter how hard i try to trow a hook ot the head it won't compare to my body blows.. |

![]() | Well you probably hyperextended your elbow; that, or maybe a pinched nerve. As for how serious that is, well, if it doesn't hurt except during training, its probably not a major injury. All I can say is the usual--rest it, ice it. If it doesn't get better, go see a doctor. As for the hook issue, are you throwing them above your head? I can see where if you are trying to hook above your head (e.g. a taller opponent) you'd loose a bit of force. Other than that, its got to be a form issue. There is no logical reason this would be, so your form is probably weird on the high hooks/uppercuts. Just have your instructor or someone from your class watch you on the bag and they'll probably be able to point it out. |
