keep training, do a little more every day. start running, do weight lifting, hit the bag, shadow box, and just keep it up.

Getting tired after 30 sec of shadow boxing its not good P
My only guess is you tense to much when u punch , try and relax when punching its very important and skip alot of rope to build your cardio, also u might wont to try and punch with some light weights in your hands that will help you built endurance .

Fist

it sounds like you are using a terrific amount of enthusiasm and energy in your technique. And hence you are running out of puff.

You can try the following, it may help, it may not...

When you are training relax, empty your mind and do not think of anything other than your technique, dont focus on how hard you are punching, or how fast or how it would affect your opponent.

First point
Go through the motion of your punch slowly, and at the same time breath out, you should be fully exhaled as you punch extends. You exhale because empty lungs means better balance, less effect of 'winding' when retaliated and focus of energy (chi --> spelling?). You should be fully relaxed as you do your technique.

Second point
Once you can relax when punching air, start to work on your energy focus, as before be relaxed when punching, but as your about to hit your opponent tense your fist and wrist (Sensi always said: Fists like steel arms Like string). Immediately after the hit withdraw and relax again. This is your focus and the reason why we 'Kiai' when doing our most aggressive techniques, the scream makes us exhale, but causes us to focus on the energy dissapation.

Sparring
Try to use tactics that minimise your energy usage, don't go all out on your opponent if all you are doing ispucnhing his blocks... all that achieves is sore arms for them and a waste of energy for you.
Instead try to use your energy as a resource, you have a set amount for a fight, so use it when it is at it's most useful (this is usually after your opponent attacks you, or just after an attack)

Also do stamina work, running, jumping/skipping and do clap-ups (push up followed by a clap) to exercise your twitch reflexes.

hope this is helpful,

I would appreciate others to correct and add to this answer,

Hlth

One of the best, but hardest ways to increase stamina is sprinting... Jog for a block and then trying sprinting as hard and fast as you can for the next block... repeat the procedure as often as you can (it won't be very many). My friend who is a boxer does this all the time for blocks on end, leaving me in the dust!

Lightbulb

Also one final thing,

create a regimin to follow, do strength and stamina work such as the running etc and do it hard for about 7-8 weeks, then switch to speed and agility, so skipping, moving/dodging , running up and down stairs (this is the time to really practise hard or combinations and sparring technique).

pls all, correct me if you disagree....
