![]() | Setup the punch better. - Throw other punches before this one to move your opponent into it, for example, jab-cross-hook. - Throw bunches of punches. Make all of your punches in 2,3 and 4 count combos. - Pay attention to your footwork. If your setting up the hands and angles correctly, and still failing, then your feet arent doing the right thing. - Explore distancing, circling, and footwork more. - Work your jab more. You probably have a crappy jab. Maybe not, if not, then work on all the other stuff. - Jump Rope.

| Novice | you left handed or right handed? If your right handed your left will ofcourse always seem like the most inappropriate and most uncomfortable approach to you.. a good boxer is acustomed to learning your strategy.. so toss more rights at a start he'll get used t othat.. then just fake it out.. I'm right handed.. I can only jab with my left, and it feels strange t ome.. But i have yet to miss a left hook as far as i can remember.. I usually only use it as a follow up.. which works Right jab to a left hook. or imcomplete right hook ju to grab they're attention.. then quickly left usually does it
