Default Mike Tyson

How did Mike Tyson get the muscles he has today? How did he get that big? You can't actually get muscles of that size from hitting the heavy bag can you? Did he do any weight training? Does anyone have any information on it?

Well he looks how he is through genetics. He is a mesomorph and partly endomorph. I would give him 3.6.1.
What i mean be this is sport scientist studied the human anatomy and discovered Somatotypes. Starting left the left you have an endomorph then mesomorph then ectomorph. endomorph is the body type that means a person who is pear shaped with small shoulder. Mike is not an extreme endomorph so i gave him a 3. (I will explain what the 3 and the 6 and 1 later).
Mike has big shoulders and contains a lot of muscle and has big lats so for mesomorph i gave him a 6. A mesomorph has broad shoulders and a upside-down triangular shaped body. This body types contains a lot a skeletal muscles (the type of muscle we use to move, fight, lift weights and so on).
I gave him a one on ectomorph has this body type is a thin and tall physic. The ectomorph has not got as much abdominal muscle and has very small shoulders.

So now I will tell you the idea of the 1 to 7 rule.
You start from the left this is endomorph and you put one digit from 1 to 7 of what the person looks like 1 being low and 7 being high. Then you do this for mesomorph (the middle one) and then ectomorph.

You can be more accurate with you decision by using a somatotype triangle.

You cannot change your somatotype.
Though you can increase muscle and fat.

Mike has weight trained. It is pretty obvious. I mean look at his legs they are not big and muscular fro hitting the heavy bag!

LOL The tyson used NO steroids

let us not forget tyson was in prison for 4 years.. ok guys?

In that time he can get all of the weight training he wants within the yards.. Lol Idiots for that seriously

But tyson was ALWAYS big.. Sense he was first adopted at 13 and took training. His pictures at teh age of 15 showed his strength.. Tyson was always brawned.

Not impossible for a man to be in shape.. specially after 4 years in prison ; knowing he has to be in shape for competition when he gets out.. and theres no boxing training for him there.. so why not join the other heads.and lift weights

True, most of it has to do with his genetics. At age 15, he was a solid 185. The rest has to do with his training regimen.

I wouldn't rule out Tyson having used steroids in the past. I don't know how common they are in boxing, but given their prevalence in other sports, its not impossible. However, they aren't needed to account for his body. Any kid who is 185 at 15 isn't going to have a lot of problem getting to 215-220 (his fighting weight in his prime) by his early 20s through a serious weight program. And some people just have the genetics to pack on the muscle. A 30 lb. gain over 5 years is a mere 6 lbs. of muscle a year. Totally possible without steroids. At 37 Tyson is never going to get back to 215. You just put on weight as you age, there isn't always a whole lot you can do about it. He's now about 235-240 and at a slightly higher bodyfat percentage than in his 20s. No need for steroids to account for that. Since his 20s he's probably put on a moderate amount of muscle through weightlifting (since I doubt his goal is hypertrophy he's not going to really gain more than a few pounds of muscle over several years) and he added some bodyfat. He really doesn't have a bodybuilder body. Especially with his little pencil calves. Hopefully he'll loose a little fat and do some serious leg work before he goes into K1.

Tyson workout circa 1999

So Tyson was lifting weights, as well as doing a rather insane amount of training. If he trains half that hard for K1 he's going to have no problem.

Yea well, I sincerly hope that he dose what almost all boxers do with kickboxers. Drop his hands and get kicked in the jaw. And I for one could not think of a more deserving person for this to happen to!

Talking TYSON IN K1????

That sounds outrageous!!! I don't think Iron Mike ever used steroids...but then you would have to ask Mike. I would really like to see a top notch Muay Thai camp get ahold of Tyson and get him schooled up for K1....imagine the possibilities! I think a lot of people would have had a hard time beating him in his prime, regardles of what discipline they trained in. Look at some old fights of his, before he left the Kevin Rooney camp. Any fighter could learn volumes about subtle movement and the ability to get inside and rip the body. The head movement alone would be enough to frustrate a lot of good fighters.

Talking

look the botom line is this: TYSON IS AN ANIMAL!!!!!! It will be a great day for boxing and the rest of the known world when this guy is locked away and forgotten about. I for one was beside myself with joy when he got knocked out last year, but the worst of it is as long as we keep talking watching and buying his PPV we all contribute to this sick and sad little man.

PS did any one ever hear about the parking lot atendant that Mike beat the hell out of?

HMM wouldnt you you be frustrated if everyone considered you a crazy animal?

when he was a teenager in the olympic camp he used to alk around twith his head downcause everytime he looked up people would be looking at him saying shit. The man never had friends, people always looked at him like he was sick, what do you think years of this do to a man?

Its funny cause everyoneI know thats ever met Tyson says he is a genuinely nice individual, but everyone that only knows of him threw all the bad press he gets says he is a sick minded animal!
imagine the irony????

What do you people have against Tyson anyway? He is a nice guy. He only acts like a ass when theres going to be a fight and the only reason he does that is because, he knows it will bring more people to watch his matches.

And like what decypheredbeats said people treated him like shit so he treats other like shit, but if you met him or shout his name he'll give you a friendly hello. The reason I know is cause my uncle was a taxi driver. When he drove to Brooklyn and saw Tyson he shouted his name and Tyson was like watsup.
