    August IKF Issue

I noticed that the August article was missing from Inside Kung-Fu. I hope it was just this issue and we will see it in the future. That was the main reason I buy that magazine was to read that article.

    Hi Gibby,
I will have a column in the next IKF, but that will be the last one. I haven't gotten a good reason as to why they are discontinuing it, other than I have been writing for them a long time. They seem to want to change for the sake of change.
The good news is that I now write a column for Budo International, which is available at Barnes and Noble. Thanks for asking. Aloha!

Your column was the only reason I ever bought IKF!
    Cheers!

Wow, I am sorry to hear that. I will have to start buying the other magazine now. I have never read that one before, even though I have seen it. Like Patrick, the only reason I continured to buy IKF ws your column.

After the last column comes out, maybe anyone interested can shoot an e-mail to the magazine to let them know. It has been a little strange over there. Thanks for the support, and I hope I have helped you with your training. Aloha!

    Hey Burton,
Could you post the email address to send my complaint to IKF? I had it before, but have lost it!
    Cheers!

That would be davecater@cfwenterprises.com. Thank you for the support.

Yes, i sure will Burton, I was planning on doing that anyway about the missing column in the August Issue. And yes, you have been a big help in my training. Will the column you write in Budo be the same? how long have you been writing for them now?

I did email them to complain about the missug August column. They did comfirm that they are ending the column after 12 years because of a "departure from anything related to JKD, as well as a desire to add more Chinese-style contributors". I really think that is a big shame. I find it sad that in this day and age that more magazines cannot cover something that really works.

Well, they just lost my subscription.

This may be off the subject but...

I have looked and looked and looked but i am veru curious where would one go about finding the "Inside Kung Fu" Magazine i have wanted to read that for a long time...because many books for studying martial arts my friends have, have pictures that are from certain "Inside Kung Fu" Magazines...i would just like to know where to look.

Most Barnes and Noble bookstores or Borders bookstores have the magazine.

    Gibby,
I just saw your last post. I think it is a shame too. I just don't understand the (lack of) logic there. Bigger and better things to come from JKDU though! That is for sure.
