Not too much to say. It's the art of the Samauri. When the Samauri lost, broke or was caught without his sword--he used JJJ. Basically, it's kicks, punches, locks, throws and breaks. BJJ, is better for sport or ring--just like the Marines, BJJ has the reputation; which was earned in combat. JJJ is like a second cousin to Judo, in fact some people cannot distinguish between the two. I only use JJJ when I am caught without my weapon or weapons.
There are several old threads here on JJJ--just do a search. Bowing out.

Are there any particular threads or specific posts that you would suggest? As in something you feel is particularly interesting or accurate from a historical standpoint or applies to a specific style? What Ryu is your jujutsu from? Thanks! ![]()
