I just began martial arts and I have been wondering how many different styles of Wing Chung exist? Also where can I find more information on the various styles of Wing Chung?

There are as many different winch chun versions as there are wing chun teachers. Almost every teacher teaches the art differently, some combine it with some other styles etc... As for how many lineages there are, Iv heard there are over 100 different lineages.

Note: I have been told that this style resembles the Sup Yee Sic of Yuen style, which came from Chueng Bo (a great-great grand-student of Fung Siu Ching) to Sum Nung. I have also heard that it uses something like Yuen style's Hoi Sic (Opening Form which I believe Sum Nung created for Yuen forms) in which case it is *very* likely that there is a connection between Cheung Bo (or his "relatives") and/or Sum Nung. Note: Both Yuen style and Fong style have also been called "Side Body" at times, so there may be another connection there.

Take a closer look at the images.
The "original" looks more fake than the supposed counterfeit.
The chin (from the left eye down) is skewed to the right.

It is interesting to note that in the "original" (non Leung Ting photo) the man's head is larger than the Leung Ting photo. This would have been hard for Leung Ting to fake in the 70's (that photo was first seen in the 70's - a bit before Photoshop). That picture is also not as sharp as the Leung Ting photo.

Besides there are other photos taken with Leung and the late grandmaster at that location. Plus there is the interview with grandmaster Yip Man in another issue of New Martial Hero where GM Yip Man states that Leung Ting is his closed door student.

It would seem silly for Leung Ting to fake a photo when so many other photos exist. Leung Ting has perhaps more photos with the late grandmaster then any of his other students. Many of the other students of the GM Yip Man have group photos or perhaps one personal photo, but Leung Ting has many - at open demonstrations, in Kwok Keung's home learning dummy techniques, at Leung Ting's wedding, his school etc. etc. Why would he need to fake a photo?

If Ting faked it how come his picture in the book is wider ( and therefore contans more info) than that in the magazine, did he get the original picture from the magazine? if not how the he did he do that
