here's a clip from a wing chun school in australia.
not william cheung or leung ting lineage. his name is jim fung. i've read some of his stuff and he genuinely seems interested in just teaching and training. he invites everybody to train with him regardless of background or affiliations and is a nice change from the usual arrogant tossers that do wc. http://www.wingchun.com.au/ there's a link to the video at the top under the banner let me know what you think |

Nice vid!
I didn't think the self-denfense videos were that realistic and of the choreographed kind.... That blind-folded chi sao was cool; Not only for development of sensitivity, but if you were fighting in a really dark environment, I can see how that would be useful. Both the sifu and sigung demonstrated some awesome body power. It was really cool seeing that big guy try to push the si gung, while he was standing on that scale. Also nice demo of the 1-inch punch; people don't believe it but its for real. IMVHO, my impression is that it takes a while to be really effective at wingchun. I think if you want to be a martial artists in the sense at developing your personal attributes of focus and martial arts philosophy, wingchun would be awesome. And probably with time, you would have some very impressive skills. Do you practice wingchun?
