Default cross training muay thai and kung fu

i very recently joined a muay thai class and love it, I was going to quit doing kung fu which I have been studying for a bout two years. Now i am having second thoughts about quitting. Does any one here cross train these two arts or is it a waste of my time. Your opinions would be appreciated (sp)

I cross train thai boxing, kung fu and aikido. I use boxing for some devastating attacks, kung fu mostly for practice and conditioning and internal conditioning, and aikido for grappling or destroying your opponent.

I cross train in Karate, Kung fu and Muay Thai, I also blend my knowledge and use what is useful from each art, I don't favor any over the others. I use kung fu for internal power and chi training, karate to develop the body externally (muscles, bones) and Muay Thai to practice fighting.

I have a friend who used to train both kung fu and muay thai, and as far as I could tell his muay thai just made his kung fu stronger and vice versa.

I do kung fu and just started muay thai yesterday and all I can say is that the kicks are the complete oposite than what I learnt in kung fu.

Not much difference, it all boils down to the training programs of your kung fu. MT solidly concentrate on their style they don't cross train with any style, its either you fight their fight or you don't fight them at all thats what make MT so strong.
