Default Shao Lin?

I once punched a man and he felt down and could not get up for couple minutes (He did not die and I did not intend to kill him).

Now, after reading the question whether I use(d) shao lin in real life, I am confused myself. The problem is: I don't know if I used shao lin, or karate, or boxing, or .... when I hit him. I never think first to use shao lin or wu tang, I just hit.

So, perhaps I used shao lin in real life, perhaps not. Who knows???

I punched wood and even wall even before I started to learn martial arts in a club or kwoon. And now I did not know what style my punches were, but I think there were not too different with shao lin's.

The same may apply to certain kicks, blocks, ducks, etc.
