I just wanted to know what the diff. b/w PVC and wooden dummies were

JKD dummies are taller. In terms of the material, it varies. Some feel that the traditional wooden WC ones have a nice springy effect to them. I'm not sure, although yes there is a springy effect.

what u think of a PVC body thoguh? will it last?

Probably not as long as a wooden one. But it'll last for a while cuz its designed to.

how many years u think though? b/c although they are half the price of real oak wood dummies, they are still very expensive $350-500

Sorry, no idea about how long they last. But my sifu's wooden one has lasted over 30 years. Heh, of course it depends on what the workmanship is like too. Even wood ones can crack within a couple months if it wasn't made well.
