Dear Martial Artists:
Please share your knowledge and/or ideas on the ideal rules that a martial arts student need to be given and need to obey to become a morally good member of the club. I don't mean to talk about any administration works, such as filling up a registration form or paying the training fee, but some moral etiquette that a martial artist should practice. Perhaps the rules would state something like: Never use the martial skills that you have learn in this school to commit a crime, etc. Please give me some light. Thank you very much.

In many MA clubs or schools they say not to use your MA unless it's for self defence. I both agree and disagree with this.
You should definatly use your MA for self defence but I don't believe in usind it against knive or guns because if what you are taught backfires or you screw up the technique your screwed and you might not have a nother chance to pull another technique off. But I think if a bully is messing with you or your getting picked on, give them a slight beating to scare them off or get you to leave you alone. Also not comit crimes with your techniques and show resect to all martial arts instead of getting beat on by some guy because you dissed his MA. |

Adjust to your training partner's level and ability and vice versa.
Help your training partner by challenging him now and then, but never over doing it. Be courteous and kind to others. Defend yourself at all times. |

Warm up before class start's..hit the bag's or whatever.
Be on time. Ask your Sihing lot's of question's..if you've got 'em: ask! Go to the seminar's! Do some private's to support the club. Go to the top grading night's. ..Pay Attention Know your Philosophy and reflect on it whilst training. Mix w/ other's from other style's. Plan to not have to use. Don't (ever) be stupid enough to let other's know what you know... but your friend's have a right! Don't scare 'em! Be responsible for your own action's/thought's!...
