Default the origins of afew arts...

Where is Kenpo from?
This art 'kenpo' is denied of its ownership with the chinese and the japanese people I know. Both sides have said that the other side owns it but who really does? Kenpo is not a chinese word and my japanese friend says that its not a japanese word either. To me, this sounds like an american art that has tried to attach its roots into the east by somehow relating it to the east.Arts such as San Soo, white tiger or white dragon are not arts of china and have recognised that so why cant these kenpo artists do the same?Is it so hard to tell the truth people?

No indian buddhist?
Further more this history of kung fu is also puzzling. There is no way an indian buddhist monk taught and started kung fu, why:
1. buddhist are pacifist and would give everything to a thief rather than to hurt them,
2. if he did start KF in china, why isnt india more advanced in martial arts?
3. There is no evidence that this event actually happened
4. The shaolin temples were burnt down along with the documents, only to reopen for tourism, I believe that this is a tourism hoax.
5.What did the army teach before this happened?
6. How to explain Hakka styles and daoist styles that were older than shaolin's kung fu?
7.Confucious promoted the study of kung fu who was 1000yrs before the coming of the indian monk.
8. Buddhists were mainly the untouchable cast(lowest cast) of hindu society, silat was taught to the soldier cast(2nd highest) in hindu society.A soldier cast would not associate themselves with an untouchable so there should be no relation and exchange in ideas between the 2.

Shuai-chiao
if shuai chiao is so superior to mongolia's original Bayirldax, why is it that there is a need of the great wall? Bayirldax is more closely related to sumo wrestling than of the chinese style so is shuai chiao unrelated to the original mongolian wrestling? shuai chiao's uniform closely resembles one that a wushu artists wears, is that a large hint that like wushu, was made as a communist propaganda tool? If shuai chiao is a TCMA, why is it that it is so welcomed by the communist government yet this government rejects other TCMA? The massacre of TCMA in the communist days saw the mass migration of TCMA practitioners to move out of china. This slaughter amassed from the north to the south until all TCMA were wiped out in china. Why is there no shuai chiao in mongolia? Further more, why is shuai chiao unheard of in the TCMA community until recently, like these last 5-10yrs?

LOL. .
Good questions - unfortunately after all the years that I have been studying TCMA - I never really questioned the history. It would run through my mind every once in while.

As for the Shuai Chao and Mongolians in reference to the great wall. All I can say is empty hand to hand combat is secondary to warfare where there are tools utilized (e.i. guns of today or swords and bows of history). I have a hard enough time trying to do a takedown on someone - let alone doing it with weapons in hand or someone horse back.

I'm sorry I can't help you with those questions. I never cared for the history because there is no documentation as it was destroyed.

Thanks for the opinion and it just made me realise that mongiolians are very cavalry orientated people (I once heard that there are 10 horses to every 1 person in mongolia) thus these people would place more emphasis on cavalry skills(which is very true) rather than bare handed combat.
