jin is martial energy...the chinese have a ton of these, hot, cold, scared, burning,etc. Fa means explosive release...attacks arent all circular, yet in order to be internal they must nuetralize incoming force using circular energy.

The release is a "twitch" or "shake" of the waist that propels the strike out faster than a normal external strike that is "pushed out".

Funny how the spelling of one word or in my case misspelling, can give such a clue as to a particular lineage. Who's translation you study and a specific implied meaning to such a broad a concept as Jin

In the old school (cannon) things were just hard. Now it's much softer but there is still a cannon in the softness.
