not to dissrespect the dead or anything, but personally i dont like any of bruce lees movies, why does everybody call bruce bruce anyway its not even his real name, i dont like any of his movies the camera angles are all messed up and its slow action and weak in my opinion, no doubt he could fight better than he can act/produce. i like many many chinese martial art flicks, but i mainly watch the older ones with subtitles, or just without any sub titles atall in chinese, but then i can only understand half of whats happening but my best friend translates for me, he has tons of movies from hong kong (thats where he is from), i dont know what half of them are called though, they are just VHS old tapes with a few chinese symbols on them, the old old old ones where the taiji masters fly all around the bamboo trees for about 4 days before actually fighting, those are funny to wach, peace.

People call him Bruce Lee because its his name, wether it is his birth given name or not has relevance. Why do they call Bruce Lee, Bruce Lee? Why do they call Jet Li, Jet Li? Because it is what most people call them, same applies to things such as the term 'kung fu', when it comes to the westernised world you will see a lot of things change to benifit westerners...

Chuck Norris isn't even Chuck Norris' real name! Why can't everyone call him Carlos Rey like his parents intended??
The same goes for Alphonse d'Abruzzo, Melvin Kaminsky, Taidje Khan, Maurice Joseph Micklewhite, Vincent Damon Furnier, Oshea Jackson, Eric Bishop, Caryn Elaine Johnson, Terry Jean Bollette, Tracy Morrow, Krishna Banji, Love Michelle Harrison, Dino Crocetti, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, Carlos Irwin Estevez, and Marion Michael Morrison. Of course you know them as: Alan Alda, Mel Brooks, Yul Brynner, Michael Caine, Alice Cooper, Ice Cube, Jaimee Fox, Whoopi Goldberg, Hulk Hogan, Ice-T, Ben Kingsley, Courtney Love, Dean Martin, Pele, Charlie Sheen, and John Wayne. http://www.babynames.com/Names/Celebrities/

Bruce Lee had a large influence in Hong Kong Movies, he basically changed the industry standard. MA movies went from two guys throwing techniques forever to one guy taking on a whole gang and KO'ing people with a single technique. look how many movies are just "enter the dragon" rehash.

This is my only question:
Why did Bob Wall's MA scenes always involve a groin kick by Bruce Lee?

I just bought hyena 1 and 2 haven't watched them yet though. I liked Return of the dragon, it was Bruce lee's first as a writer/director. But I would have to say my favourite Bruce Lee movie was the Chinese connection. The one that Jet li did a remake of. Both Bruce's and Jet's interpretations were decent. Of course Jet's was better but he has a much more flashy style and the special effects of today can't be compared to that of the 70's. |

Most name changes are for the protection of the star and family. Suppose you're this big time celeb with papparazzi and stalkers everywhere. Some might try to get to you in some way through a close friend or relative. People are crazy, and you'd be surprised what people will do just to get near an actor or actress. It blows my mind.
