Exclamation Game of Death

A lot people were dissapointed when Golden Harvest made an effort to complete Bruce's unfinished story "Game of Death". It also didn't help when they produced "Game of Death II".
If you owned a studio, and had an opportunity to complete his work. What would be the storyline that connects with Bruce's fight footage?

Bruce had an awesome story line already

There is a pagoda which is several stories high, each level is guarded by a master of of a differant MA, at the top there is some kind of extremely valuble reward. (like an ultimate weapon, a bit like the arc in indiana jones)

1,Mantis
2,Kali
3,Tiger
4,Hapkido
5,Unknown (as in the fighter has no style but instead adapts to the opponent)

He plays "the greatest fighter i the world" , and is blackmailed along with a couple of freinds (james Tien, and some other guy) by the Korean military, to fight to the top and obtain the reward.

Bruce wanted this film to be a metaphor for his JKD concepts. I.E the "some other guy" i mentioned above, represents TMA and has perfect technique but cannot apply it and keeps getting his ass handed to him. I cant remember what James Tien represents. And obviously Bruce represents JKD as he adapts to his oponents when he figures them out.
There is a scene where bruce fights Dan Inasanto's Kali sticks, with a bamboo stick which is bendy. He wins because kali sticks are rigid, whereas his bendy bamboo was able to adapt.

Bruce had nearly an hour of the film shot, and i have a version of this where it plays it all in order, edited and to a score, and its awesome, probably bruces best work.

I have no idea why they only show 10 mins of this footage when they were supposed to just finish a half completed film. They completely changed the storyline and made it really "western" and it sucked.

TSD is both a hard and soft style, derriving hardness from Soo Bahk, and soft flowing movements from Northen Chinese systems.

edit:I cant belive i bought into this ^ lies, lies. TSD is shotokan with a Korean name and an emphasis on hip movement.

Well in the UK we have a company called Hong Kong Legends that cleans up, restores, and adds a load of special features to Hong Kong films and releases them on DVD. The edit of GOD footage that i talked about is just a special feature on the 30th aniverssary 2 disc edition of Game of Death. If you have a multi-region player you could get it off ebay easily.

Try Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey. It's a documentary about Bruce Lee and his unfinished movie and at the end you get the reconstructed tower of death sequence which comes in at around 30 to 40 minutes.

Below is the link to Amazon.com
