You agree with him on all points? Whenever you can take a guy's plant leg down without hurting him, you come find me........

Sure - I agree.
What kind of take down are you talking about. Is it a sweep of the plant leg? with no contact to the kick (kind of like a point sparring sweep) - that might hurt - depends.

An absorb and grab of the kicking leg then following up with a takedown (this doesn't hurt the guy if you're not intending to hurt him - of course there are accidents but we're talking about sparring)

So where can we meet and I can show you?

Sweet!! I don't know if you have been practicing for a long time but - I've been swept with my supporting foot and it is annoying but it doesn't hurt where I can't stop fight. I'll msg you whenever I'm there and I would expect likewise if you decide to come up the east coast

i think the sheer defensiveness of the Monk shows he has no intention of truly fighting, its just a display of skills, nothing more, nothing less, from what i can see that monk can be one mean fighter.

Skill at what? This is presumably a martial arts match. Otherwise they could have both done what they did on their own.

Its that or he doesn't know how to fight (that is a viable possiblity) not all monks that do martial arts know how to fight.

Personally - I think its a weak propaganda video (from China) of how "kung-fu" is better then "TKD"

I think its an insult to both styles.

I read on another forum that this was part of an entertainment show in Korea and was done for entertainment puposes only. This was not a "real" fight or even a true spar. ANyway, that's the rumor/story.

Nice the shaolin Monk dude shows lots of skills, but why wasn't he attacking??

That cilp is guy vs guy, not style vs style .. That Taekwondo students doesnt represent the art Taekwondo and hes not the master of it. Nether do the shaolin monk dude.

it does show the dynamics between the two styles though, its plain to see the TKD fighter was a TKD fighter was it not?

Yah your right. wot i meant is that don't take this clip as measurement or as comparison between the 2 styles. Because after all it's the the Artist not the Art.

*bows respectfully*
