From the little i know of Choi Lay Fut (a couple of friends have training it in Australia), it is a very hard (ie: external) and quite agressive style of kung fu. It is famous for it 'war punch' and pantha fist, utilising many large and round movements.
You would get a better idea from someone who actually trains the system but from viewing the website, the school looks credable with serious instruction. |

Just get along there and give it a go. You'll either like it, or you won't, and either way our opinions will not help much!
I believe that there is a style out there for everyone, you just need to keep searching until you find it.

the school looks ok. but it all depends on what you want. the owner is a grandmaster, but ur probably not going to learn from him. you have to check out the instructor
personally i look for the older sifus. the ones that has been doing it for like over thirty years |

Hi there,
Choy lay fut is long-arm boxing, lots of hard techniques with the entire lower arm where other styles would use the hands. I would suggest checking out the school for the quality of the training and maybe youtube for how the style is actually practiced, how it looks to you. after all, as someone else mentioned already, you have to find the style that fits you personally in a natural way. good luck. -free- |
