Wing Chun is very street effective. Phillip Holder the Grandmaster of the North American Wing Chung Ass. (NAWCA) has been nickname, "the king of the streets" by many martial arts publications. His style of Wing Chung and William Chung’s are some of the most practical of any martial arts out there.

"Grand Master Philip Holder has done more than perhaps anyone else to develop and promote Wing Chun Kung Fu in the United States. His 35 year martial arts background along with his practical experience in the field of executive protection (Bodyguard) add a realistic touch to his classroom courses and instructional videotapes. He is respected world wide for his abilities. Called "the King of the Street" by Karate/Kung-fu Illustrated magazine, he offers a truly street-wise approach to the art of Wing Chun. Grand Master Holder is the chief instructor of the North American Wing Chun Association Inc. and the driving force behind the Ying Gi Ga method of Wing Chun. He is also the creator of the practical self defense system known as the Six Zone Safeguard System. Thousands world wide have studied from him in his classes, seminars and through his instructional videotapes. "
