Angry whats the matter with you guys??

the guy (begins) only asked for some comments about maybe learning WC, did it ever occur to any of you that he might not have the time to do searches for topics or whatever or maybe its because he doesn't have a boring/mundane job and therefore the time during his working day to spend so long in here..

you all could have just said 'do search' rather than demonstrate the sheer Trollism that runs thru your blood...especially Spanky & bri thai fry.........
Trolls, the lot of ya!

The thing that get's me is that WC guys claim how great their style is yet none of their "top guys" ever compete against other styes. Oh yea the most commone excuse is "we can't kick nuts or poke eyes". Well MT guys have agreed to kickboxing matches without elbows or knees and still come up victorious. This "take my word for it" bullcrap is what makes me angry.

jules,

always the same arguement out of you and it doesn't holds water. some arts structure can compete by varying techs. others don't work that way. sport is sport, fighting is fighting.

No. We do not teach the deadly arts of bone breaking or pressure point paralysis or chi strikes from twenty feet away.

We have an empirical method to each and every technique taught in our curriculum.

No anecdotes.

No legends.

No bullpucky.

If you want to see it in action we'll be happy to demonstrate. I constantly question what I am taught and entertain questions from my own students.

The only difference between ring Muay Thai and the MT that the Thai army/police use is that the Army MT emphasises more on lower knee attacks and focuses more on the center line. They are the same thing. Ofcoure you would resort to "oh my style is too deadly for interstyle competition". You won't compete in competitions that are the closest thing to the real fight and yet you still tell tales about how your "sifu beat up some guys in a streetfight". Great. Clap clap clap. I guess WC consists only of eye poking and nut kicking...

I have another question:

Martial arts tournaments have a long history in China, they have been held by the government, businesses and martial artists themselves. Many martial arts (actual fighting styles) have competed in those tournaments. what is the difference between those tournaments and UFC/PRICE/KoTC? Actually if you don't want any rules why don't your association put up 100,000 dollars to a true VTD match in a nation outside the USA? Surely if WC is great as you claim it is then your follwers will have no problem putting up the cash.

with regard to the neck breaking umm people try to understand and yes it may be hard for some of you to follow im talking about the techniques we learn that we havnt used to full conclusion and that just because we havnt does that meen that we deffinately cant use them ? do you follow

and ipon yes i can i was saying to you what my teacher told me when iasked but if you want the easy answer i can tell you if you like but for eg if you extend the gan sao it becomes a fut sao so if you went through gan sao to fut sao but some part of the body was in the way would you consider that a strike

out of curiosity what the hell does bone breaking have to do with chi from twenty feet away....

as per the first section wich was in response to a comment about me thinking one technique i know will work because i actualy used another ... if you hit a piece of wood soft with you hand and it breaks do you need to hit another peice harder to know that it would break as well

and i already posted that i was also teaching..i was on the dole erning a little cash in hand and just training flat out that was from about 16 to 20 dont see what the problem with that is ohh and apparently i spel lots as lost i do appologise.... are you guys here just to pick on others or to learn what you can and teach what you know.... cause if its the picking why do you bother are you that unhappy in your own lives

I really hate "find your path" answers. It ususally tells me the person does not know the answer (No offense to your your sifu).

When you use Gan sau the arm is extended doward (low block). So when you sauy extend gan sau do you mean raising gan sau and then you have fut sau??

Also, what is fut sao I may have forgot. I know you can't mean jut sao and fuk sao is resting on the bridge. I am not trying to argue just trying to understand.

Then how do you know you'll be able to pull them off in a self preservation situation?

Let me restate: Every technique I know I can pull off to it's full conclusion.

There are many important factors to SP, emperical evidence of repeatable results is one of them.

If an instructor gave me that "find your own answer" bullshit, I'd turn up for class without paying. He can find his own money.
