i'm new here and i can't figure how to edit profile. there's the id 3 and it keeps sayinf to read the field description.not sure what to do

If you're stil having trouble...

I'm not sure what you mean by "ID 3' and "Field description"

TO edit profile, make sure you're logged in; Click 'UserCP' in the upper left; click 'edit profile' on the left hand column.

It should go to a screen where you simply enter stuff in the boxes.
