Default Info Decuerdas?

I'm looking for information on Decuerdas Eskrima. Is this a blade art? How many attacks and target areas? Thanks!

mostly filipino arts are blade based..mostly....decuerdas has 8 angles
the first five is the cinco teros, blocks are simple, all with the stick pointed up and its also supported by the live hand, they're all the same block except on different levels. Blocks for a thrust is actually a parry up or down. there are also parrie for angles using advancing female footwork, stick is still supported by the live hand. i hope this helps

Default decuerdas

To give more info on decuerdas, it has 12 angels and for the most part is explained ok by twincobras7. Thier is many componets to it, such as the sliding method as my teacher calls it. which is shown in the espada y daga training that contours the weapons to reach the hand.

Dequerdas drill in Bahad Zubu is different. It's done by hitting 2 sticks hung on a rope. 1 stick at about chest level and the other stick at about waist level. Check out a youtube video of maestro Yuli and John Brown to get a visual. The drill is in the middle of the video. This is develop reaction and footwork (lutang).
