Default Arnis school near Kalookon, Makati

I’m looking for a place to train arnis in PI for few days. I will be in the PI July 17 for vacation and I will be staying in the area of Kalookan and Makati. Does anybody have a recommendation to any school in that area? Salamat.

There are many I can recommend, but each appeals to a different type of learner/fighter. It would help if you would mention how much training time you intend to invest in, what your background is, and what type of arnis you are looking for -- blade-oriented, sport, trad, etc.

Cheers,

If time permits, I'm hoping to train for two days. I practiced a little in doce pares eskrima, but it was only thru seminars I attended. I'm Training in wushu kung fu right now and tae kwon do I the past. I’m in the process of looking for Filipino martial arts in the U.S. and I was hoping to gain knowledge while in the PI on any martial arts available.

Two days is not much time, but if you're interested in seeing what Balintawak is all about, you can contact GM Tabimina who holds classes every Tuesday and Thursday in Makati. (He also studied doce musa, i think it is called, under Cacoy). His cellphone number 0919-234-8433.

I don't know anyone in Caloocan, but in QC, you can check out the PTK Pitbulls. PTK is also available at DefTac which is based in Makati, but I don't think you can engage them for a special two day session only. But it doesn't hurt to ask.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Reactor
