you have to get used to it... you'll be expecting callouses at different parts on your palm and on the forefinger.

It all depends on how bad your blisters are & where on your hand you have them. I'm no doctor, but I usually poke a needle (sterilize the needle) hole on the skin & drain the blister. If it's a tiny one, I just let it heal for about a day or 2. But in both cases, I either use athletic tape on the blistered finger or wear a biking glove (any slim fitting glove would do. i.e. baseball, weight lifting, etc.) during training.
If you do drain a big blister, it will dry up & once it does, you have to "peel" the skin on top to let the healed underskin toughen up. Be careful pulling on the dried skin because you might pull the "good" skin around it. I usually use a nail clipper to cut the dried skin & bevel the edges. If it's a small blister you drained, most times it heals naturally & you don't have to "peel" any dried skin. |

oh... if you drain it, try to put cornstarch over it to absorb the liquid.

Drain it, cut away the leftover skin cause that is how it becomes an irritant. Get A&D ointment, apply it , cover with large band aid and tape. The A&D speeds up the healing by drying it but be careful of over drying cause it can split. It heals almost fully in 2-days.

just did some really intense training over in the philippines and my hands calloused up for the first time in a couple of years we had some chinese herbal ointment that one of our instructors gave to us a couple of years ago which really did the trick in terms of reducing the pain. Some of the guys were actually using that new all clear spray on bandage to protect their hands giving the effected skin an extra layer. Didn't really work for me though.
