Default Newbie Question

Hey guys,

I am sorry for the ignorant question. I am about to begin my research in the weapon martial arts, and I have a general question just to get started. I am less interested in the use of sticks than I am in the use of knives. What are the top martial arts that teach how to defend against and use knives?

Thanks so much for you time, and again I am sorry for the ignorant question.

T.

yo bro, don't be sorry...besides that's not an ignorant question.since you're fresh up in here my advice would be to look at all the previous threads before asking such questions.I myself asked a couple of questions that may have seemed redundant to others (especially longtimers).i.e.I posted a thread about DUMOG only to find out later there was a post or two on Dumog long before I joined In these forums...all was informative to me.As for a direct answer to your question...think about it...that's really a matter of opinion. Also,Knife against what other weapon (knife against knife only or what)..?would you be a bit more specific?Don't worry they'll reply sooner or later...for now check out this site,it's one of several on my favorites list..........http://www.florofighting.com/

Thanks for the reply. I searched some on the site, and found a couple of threads like mine. It seems Kali is a big art and people are recommending it often for this type of training, and specifically recommending sayoc (not sure if thats how it was spelt).
