Hello BoarSpear,

I often carry a bandana, usually loaded with several quarters(Honest it's for parking meters!). VEry concealable and 99% of the time most people have no clue that is a tool for self protection.

Hi guys,

I hope that all are well and that everyone is keeping themselves quite challenged by their training. I have worn bandanas as part of my official training uniform for many years now for this very reason. Punong Guro Sulite offered a very complete curriculum with-in Lameco Eskrima using the "Panyo" which covered everything from leverages, take-downs, stops, parries, finishing techniques, tie-ups, neck-breaks, face-locks, and knife disarms.

He would utilize this curriculum to cover not only the "Panyo" but also belts, neck-ties, laniards, shoe-string, T-shirt, socks, piece of rope and even a plastic bag that we all have access to from grocery stores to convenient stores.

The majority of this curriculum was comprised of material which Punong Guro Sulite had learned and trained from Muslim GrandMaster Abdul Hai Quahar Madueno. GM Madueno was from Mindanao and called his system "Combat Simaron" or simply "Simaron style". Punong Guro Sulite was very impressed with the simplicity and effectiveness of this system, so much so that he borrowed from it heavily concerning weapons of convenience. Go well guys, ciao.
