Default Warriors Eskrima and cross training?

Hi all
My name is Kit Lok,I practice the Warriors Eskrima system under Simon Campion in Manchester UK,our Chief Instructor is Pangulong Guro Krishna Godhania.

I have been practicing Eskrima for three years now and I am enjoying it. I am also cross training in other Martial Arts.
I wrote a blog on what Martial Arts I do and update it weekly with pictures from my Eskrima class:
http://kittomainia.blogspot.com/

I was wondering if anyone else cross trains in Martial Arts and what they do?
Thanks
Kit

Hello Kit,

Glad to see you enjoy training in Warriors Eskrima! Guro Krishna and I are good friends through Sayoc Kali and he is of the highest caliber, so I do not doubt his Instructors are as well.

I cross train in many martial arts from Boxing, Muay Thai, through several styles of FMA's. Cross training can improve your understanding of many universal principles in the various arts as well as give you another arts perspective on fighting tactics. I keep extensive notes and video files on what I do for future reference as well. (I have an article up on my website about this aspect of training).

Default Hi Gumagalang Guro Steve Lefebvre

Hi
Thanks for the reply!I am quite honoured for a Gumagalang Guro such as yourself to post a reply!. I am glad you know Krishna so well. Yes at first cross training for me was done because it was like a hobby to do as many different Martial Arts as possible but now I am seeing benefits of learning several systems.
I totally agree with your comments and I am trying to keep notes of all I learnt through my blog and also private notes. My brother and I are also avid collectors of different tapes and dvds on Martial Arts training.
Again thanks for your reply
Kit

Default Sayoc Seminar

Hi Guro Steve
I went to see Krishna and had a really good training session!I asked about the seminar, unfortnatley I can't make that weekend because on that weekend falls on my Father's 70th Birthday and we plan to do something special with him.
However I heard there was another Sayoc seminar in January?I am not too sure if it is in January but shall try and find out.
I hope you are well Steve.
